A: Yes. Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants take a readiness test, while applicants for other grades complete math and reading assessments. Required documents include a birth certificate, baptismal certificate (if applicable), immunization records, and recent report cards.

A: Our Mother of Good Counsel School welcomes students of all abilities. A: Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

A: Yes, after-school care is available daily until 6:00 p.m.
Q: Does your school have a hot lunch program?
A: Yes. Our hot lunch program partners with local businesses, including Palermo Italian, Cheech's Pizza, Yuca's, Waba Grill, and Mendocino Farms. Meals are delivered fresh to our students. Orders are placed online and finalized the night before. Students who do not participate in the program are welcome to bring a nutritious packed lunch.
Q: Are there extracurricular activities?
A: Yes, we offer arts, theater, and after-school sports programs through the C.Y.O. for grades 3-8, including volleyball, basketball, and cross-country, and track & field. 
Q: Do students have daily religion classes?
A: Yes, religion is taught daily, complemented by weekly liturgy and seasonal Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Q: What is the family service hour requirement?
A: Families are required to complete 40 service hours annually. A buyout option is available for those unable to meet this requirement.

A: Yes, uniforms must be worn according to school guidelines.
Q: Are there mandatory fundraisers for families?
A: No, mandatory fundraisers have been replaced by our Annual Appeal, which encourages voluntary contributions to support the school. Families are invited to participate in events and fundraisers as they wish, but there are no specific requirements or fees for opting out.
Q: How is security and child safety ensured?
A: We  have a closed campus and all visitors must sign-in at the front office on Ambrose. Post Security provides additional patrols in the neighborhood and are stationed on campus.
